First, the importance of bearings in mechanical equipment

Classification of bearings
 
Bearings can be divided into two categories, namely plain bearings and rolling bearings. There are two types of sliding bearings: the first type, fixed type, the bearing bush and the bearing housing are cast into one, the LFB oil-free bushing is divided into two types, and the bearing bush is separated from the bearing seat. This form is easy to repair. There are four types of rolling bearings:
 
① Thrust bearing, carrying axial load;
 
②, centripetal thrust bearing, while carrying radial axial load;
 
③ Radial bearing, carrying radial load;
 
④ General bearings. Bearings are widely used, with different equipment performance, loads, technical requirements and other characteristics, different types of bearing configurations are used.
 
According to the relevant national regulations for the use of bearings, the maximum temperature of sliding bearings during operation is not greater than 60 ° C, and the maximum temperature of rolling bearings during operation is not greater than 70 ° C. The maximum oil temperature does not exceed 60 ° C, otherwise it is easy to cause bearing damage and breakage.
 
Third, the formation of bearing damage and failure
 
The damage and failure of the bearing are mainly caused by severe oil loss, fatigue damage, impurities entering and damage to the protective frame and permanent deformation.
 
In daily inspections:
 
① Look at the height of the oil level, check the refueling record time, the amount of oil and grease added, and the model and specifications of the bearing oil for each device.
 
② Listen—use the stylus tool to check whether the device is jammed during operation, whether there is noise, and whether the operation is stable.
 
③ Touch-can use the thermometer to measure the temperature, you can also touch the shell temperature of the bearing, whether it is within the technical requirements of the controllable range.
 
Fourth, bearing inspection methods to prevent damage
 
In daily inspections, we use listening, touching, and looking inspection methods to understand the principles and common sense of maintenance during the production and use of bearings. Sliding bearings are mainly used on high-speed, low-speed and heavy-load equipment, such as: turbo-generator units, rotary kiln supporting wheels, coal mills, cement mills, and large motors. Its properties are sliding friction, so the lubrication of these equipments The method adopts the water cooling method of the thin oil station, and the oil circulation creates a layer of insulating oil film between the shaft and the bearing pad, that is, it acts as a lubricant, and at the same time, the frictional heat generated by the bearing pad is reduced.
 
Rolling bearings are mainly used in small motors, reducers, transmission shafts, rollers and other equipment. It is rolling friction in nature. The rolling bearing lubrication method can be grease, lubricating oil or solid lubricants. The role of the gap in the rolling bearing (that is, the oil gap) is to ensure the normal operation of the rolling elements, lubrication, and compensation for thermal expansion. The purpose of the bearing seal is to prevent dust. Moisture enters the bearing and prevents the loss of lubricant. Before the bearing and shaft are assembled, measure the outer diameter of the shaft and the inner diameter of the bearing to avoid over-tightening and loosening. Over-tightening is likely to cause the oil gap to be too small and the bearing temperature to rise. Or jacket, causing damage to the shaft and bearings. It is strictly forbidden to strike directly with a hand hammer when assembling the bearing. It can be carried out by the method of copper rod or sleeve transition.
